Driven by Felipe Massa and Kimi Räikkönen under new Team Principal Stefano Domenicali, the F2008 earned Maranello its sixteenth Constructors’ title after a season of remarkable consistency: eight victories, eight pole positions, and thirteen fastest laps. The Drivers’ title, however, slipped away in dramatic fashion. Massa won the final race in Brazil and, for a few seconds, appeared to be World Champion—until Lewis Hamilton passed Timo Glock on the last lap, finishing fifth and taking the title by a single point.
