On Wednesday 14 October 2026 at 8.30 pm, the Piazza of the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile will host LiberTANGO, a Lingotto Musica OFF event presented in collaboration with MAUTO as part of the Mondi Culture Musiche festival, promoted by Sistema Musica to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Turin’s Centro Interculturale.
The evening will feature pianist Gloria Campaner, clarinettist Alessandro Carbonare, bandoneon player Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, and dancers Chiara Benati and Andrea Vighi.
The programme explores some of the most iconic works by Astor Piazzolla and Carlos Gardel, from Oblivion and Le Grand Tango to Por una cabeza, Volver and Libertango, bringing the tradition of Argentine tango into dialogue with the refined and innovative language of Piazzolla’s nuevo tango.
Music and dance will transform the Museum’s Piazza into a meeting place for different cultures and artistic languages. The evening will conclude with a milonga open to the public, led by Turin-based tango associations and schools.
