A collection of cars unique in the world, enhanced by picturesque landscape contextualisation created by François Confino: the MAUTO takes us on an intriguing journey through history, describing how the car has influenced fashions, customs, scientific research and technological achievements in a constant flow of innovation.
The MAUTO exhibition itinerary covers three floors and the free visit lasts about 2 hours.
Take the spectacular escalator and set off on your journey!
CARS AND THE TWENTIETH CENTURY
The visit begins on the second floor: 21 rooms, spread over 3,600 square metres, narrate the historical evolution of the invention that changed the world and how it developed in relation to the major political, economic, artistic and social events of the twentieth century.
CARS AND MANKIND
This is the floor that illustrates the great themes linked to the world of the motor car: from industry to car racing through advertising and safety, eight rooms spread over 3800 square metres analyse the various aspects of the relationship between mankind – craftsman, mechanic, driver or simple enthusiast – and mobility.
TEMPORARY EXHIBITIONS AND DESIGN
The ground floor, last floor of the visit, is entirely given over to temporary exhibitions and design: a space in a state of constant makeover that tells unforgettable stories of great designers, epic races, adventurous journeys but also the future directions of research, new trends and the proposals of young creatives.
