On the occasion of Artissima, the MAUTO – National Automobile Museum proposes – on the days of the fair – a rich program of initiatives dedicated to contemporary art and a reduction on the entrance fee.
MAUTO entrance tickets at a reduced rate
From 1 to 5 November there are special rates to visit the permanent exhibition and exhibitions of MAUTO – National Automobile Museum:
– free admission for holders of the Artissima VIP badge, Exhibitor, Press and Staff
– reduced admission (12 euros) for holders of Artissima ticket

THURSDAY 2 NOVEMBER, 5 PM
On Thursday, November 2nd, at 5pm, the MAUTO-National Automobile Museum dedicates the first of the events of the Public Program 2023/2024 to Giorgio Manganelli, writer and essayist. His book “Dream Emigration” – published by Adelphi – will be discussed by the curator Andrea Cortellessa and Andrea Bellini, director of the Centre d’Art Contemporain in Geneva. It moderates Gianluigi Ricuperati.
ART INSTALLATION /The Velocity of Thought di Paul Etienne Lincoln
FROM THURSDAY 2 TO SUNDAY 5 NOVEMBER
In the spaces of the MAUTO will be exposed one of the seminal works of Paul Etienne Lincoln, The Velocity of Thought, designed and built in 1976 and modified several times over the years to reach the current look. The work has as its center a prototype of full-scale car, equipped with Panhard Levassor Tigre aircraft-derived engine, powered by gasoline, propane and linseed oil.

The Restoration Centre of the MAUTO organizes two guided tours to the “hidden” collection of the Museum located in the Open Garage, where about seventy wonderful cars are kept and are subjected to restoration and conservation.

MEETING WITH THE ARTIST PAUL ETIENNE LINCOLN
SATURDAY 4 NOVEMBER, 12.00
Paul Etienne Lincoln, English by birth, but living in New York, is one of the most complex and sophisticated figures on the international art scene. Author of works “exhibitions”, famous for their complexity and for the meticulous realization that they involve, he has been working for years on the relationships between nature and mechanics, proposing works with a fairy-tale and outdated flavor, fed by metaphors and suggestions drawn from the history of science, of culture and art. Saturday, November 4, at 12.00, will meet the public of the MAUTO to tell his artist installation.
SUNDAY 5 MORNING, FROM 10:00 TO 13:30
MAUTO offers a workshop experience dedicated to children and their companions. After visiting the Museum and observing the prototype The Velocity of Thought, the children will use the Lego mosaic technique to create a representative model of the installation giving space to their emotions.
Suggested age: 3-10 years
Cost: 5 € per child + entrance tickets; parents/ escorts can enter with reduced rate (12€) or free if you have Museum Subscription

Saturday, November 4, from 12:30 to the closing of the ticket office
In the afternoon of Saturday, November 4, who presents the ticket of the MAUTO at the ticket office of Pinacoteca Agnelli will be entitled to free entry in Pista 500 and reduced Pinacoteca Agnelli (8 euro instead of 10)
