A long series of technical innovations make it an avant-garde product: dismountable cylinder head with centrifugal regulator pump on the suction valve, constant level carburetor with float and nebulizer, ignition by incandescence with platinum sponge, and geometrically corrected steering wheel. Bernardi’s paternity consecrates this automobile as a milestone in automobile history: it is his first gasoline engine patent and the first application on a tricycle in Italy. It took an intense correspondence between Carlo Biscaretti di Ruffia and the owner – as well as the mediation of Michelin Italy – to bring it to the museum in 1934.
