Inclusive Museum
The goal of the ONE MUSEUM FOR ALL project is to achieve satisfactory sensory accessibility directed toward all visitors, in line with the principles of “universal design”-which defines a place as “accessible” if any user can access it and move around autonomously.
To make a place “accessible” means, therefore, to make it comfortable and inclusive for all potential users, children and young people, adults and the elderly, also taking into consideration different disabilities (motor, sensory, cognitive).
Touch panels with maps, embossed designs with braille texts and resin models made with an exclusion technique and details made with a 3D printer: each model is accompanied by audio descriptions, which can be activated through embossed Qr-Code and NFC technology, which tell the story of the car and provide curiosities and information in Italian and English.
MAUTO exhibition itinerary is free of architectural barriers and is therefore fully accessible.
MAUTO has services such as a changing table and high chair to allow parents to take care of the needs of their little visitors in a practical and hygienic way. These services show MAUTO's commitment to making visiting the museum an inclusive experience for all families.
Audioguides in LIS, Italian Sign Language, and IS International Sign Language
A free wheelchair is available at the ticket office for visitors with walking difficulties.
We recommend that visitors to the Museum with a wheelchair utilise the ramp in Via Richelmy, which leads to the cafeteria.
Parking spaces reserved for disabled people are available in the area surrounding the Museum.

Audioguide
A narrative voice will take you on a journey to discover the secrets of our collection and the many protagonists whose inventions and daring feats contributed to the development of twentieth-century invention. Let yourself be transported on this fun and exciting journey through time!
In the Kids version, the journey is narrated by three likeable characters: Gigi Scintilla, intrepid journalist; Isotta Fraschini, passionate and reckless lover of automobiles; and the young engineer Pistone, an engine all-rounder who grew up on bread and wrenches.
Available in Italian, English, French, LIS and IS.
I-Muse
Discover I-Muse, the new inter-museum App that uses artificial intelligence to enhance the experience of visiting museums, with personalized routes, suggested insights based on your own, and the ability to discover both the works on display and those housed in warehouses and archives. It will be possible to broaden visiting horizons, overcoming the idea of separate museums and putting collections in dialogue.
Tactile maps
On the route there are tactile panels with maps, relief drawings with braille texts, and, most importantly, resin models with an exclusion technique and details made with a 3-D printer: each model is accompanied by audiodescriptions, activated by Qr-code embossing and NFC technology, that tell about the car and provide trivia and information in Italian and English.
Download the tactile maps and print them on embossed microcapsule paper to learn about the Museum with its spaces before your visit.
