The Exhibitions
The Museum’s temporary exhibitions at Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile are the result of collaboration with leading institutions and partners on a national and international scale. These events enrich MAUTO’s cultural offerings with insights into the theme of the automobile, considered not only as a means of transportation, but also as an object of worship, transversal to all arts and disciplines. In addition to major exhibitions, artist installations and research exhibition projects, characterized by an experimental and innovative approach, are presented in the project rooms.

A Germ Theory
2020 /video, Super 8, 35mm, HD, 1'
A Germ Theory is a work by artist and director Irene Dionisio that places change at the center of the visual-sound experience: it is a reflection on the concept of germination, understood as a vital propulsion that generates movement. In a broader and more metaphorical sense, the work examines the relationship between the digital and physical worlds, seeking new insights and possible solutions in the spaces where they overlap.
- ARTIST'S LIGHT
Supercar
Supercar is the title of the light installation that combines light, architecture, automobiles, science fiction, customization, movement, and the collective imagination.
A work with multiple layers of interpretation and explicit references to popular culture and collective memory, it explores the more contemporary concept of the “supercar,” the sapiens automobile capable of interacting with the user and its surroundings, processing information, learning, and acting autonomously according to human-like methods and criteria.

Discover the exhibitions at the Centro Storico Fiat
To support the archive’s valorization efforts, the exhibition program draws on the archive’s documentary heritage to uncover previously untold stories, not only of automobiles but of technologies, products, and projects. Original documents resurface to tell the story of the twentieth century through Fiat, its relationship with Turin, the evolution of customs and ways of designing, building, and communicating: a reinterpretation that opens new perspectives on the meaning of our past, the challenges of our times, and the goals of the future.
