When he donated it to the Museum in 1959, F. Gordon Morrill from Wyoming recommended not to exceed a speed of 30 miles per hour in order to preserve this vehicle, which, after 124,000 km, still consumed only one liter of oil every 500 kilometers. It is a large and prestigious car, and the 12-cylinder coupé version that its Swiss owner intended to donate – upon Morrill’s suggestion – was even more so. Unfortunately, in Europe, American cars were not yet in the limelight, and the Museum declined the proposal with a simple “one is enough”.
