It is the “minimal car” for Fiat in 1957. For Italy during the economic “boom”, it was to become a real social phenomenon, a popular and transversal car, able to put an engine also on workers and women and to be the second car of all car enthusiasts. However, it was also a presidential car: the model here exhibited belonged to the President of the Italian Republic of the time, Sandro Pertini, who used to drive it in the traffic of Rome. Mrs Carla Voltolina Pertini donated it to the city of Turin in 2004, which later transferred it to the Museum to be exhibited to the public.
