In the world of cars, this is a true revolution: the Turin-based company produces the first vehicle with unitized body. In the postwar period, this was going to become the winning recipe for mass production. But in 1922, Vincenzo Lancia’s work of art was just a sophisticated and futuristic solution, which the company sought to advertise as much as possible. For this reason, it created a “naked” chassis to be exhibited at the motor shows, which it donated to the newly constituted Museo dell’Automobile already in October 1934.
