The tubular frame winks an eye at the Sport category. The lenticular bodywork intends to rewrite the laws of aerodynamics, but also to fascinate the overseas market. Nothing came of it, however, because Alfa Romeo decided to abandon all its most ambitious projects, including the races, to concentrate its efforts on the Giulietta and its industrialization. It was born with a two-liter engine, but the vehicle displayed here – donated by Alfa Romeo itself in 1956 – mounts the powerful six cylinder of the 6C 3000.
