The Augusta was a light model whose runabout exterior belied its up-market specifications: four-door saloon bodywork with bearing structure (the first in the world), free-wheel device, extensive use of Silentbloc bearings, hydraulic braking system, one of the first of this kind used in Europe. The chassis was used by bodyworkers of the time to make elegant cabriolet and elegant coupé versions, as well as sports models.
