Arriving by way of the Isotta Fraschini and Diatto companies, the Maserati brothers showed both talent and industry in the fields of cars and racing. From 1926 on, when they produced the first competition car in their own name, to their Indianapolis wins at the end of the 1930s, they were welcome new faces to all save those they defeated.
This wonderful text, telling the story of the early Maseratis, has been written by Karl Ludvigsen and published for the first time in Automobile Quarterly, volume 51, number 2, second quarter 2011. Let’s read it together, it’s worth the time!
