At the dawn of the 1960s, the 2600 was a true flagship, with its refined and powerful in-line six-cylinder engine. If the sedan was somewhat “weighed down” by its all too baroque lines, Bertone’s Sprint version and the elegant Touring body Spider, on the other hand, were more successful. The famous Milanese coachbuilder was trying to become an industry at the time, but bankruptcy forced it to close down.
