Varzi’s legendary Targa Florio: a powerful and ill-tempered car, its tank was perforated during the race, where a fire had to be extinguished with the seat cushions, and in the end, an incredible victory. This car was offered to the Museum by Alfa Romeo, which exchanged it with a Type B – also donated by the company in 1935 with a letter from Vittorio Jano – to create their own Alfa Romeo Museum. Originally, it was one of the P2s of the 1925 World Championship. It was then sold to a private buyer and bought back by Alfa Romeo in 1930 – by Varzi himself – to be upgraded for the Sicilian race.
