It was conceived as a variation of the 60 Series, backbone of Cadillac’s production. That was in 1938. Various series followed, to respect the evolutions of mechanics and the revolutions of design. In the sixth series in 1957 – the one displayed here, which reached the Museum in 2014 – the main features are the showy rear fins, icons of an era. But also the pointed front bumper guards, the chroming, the absence of pillars, and the presence of every equipment existing at the time, which make it the archetype of the Made in USA flagship.
