COACH by BORDINO

General Virgilio Bordino had it built at the Military Arsenal in Turin by assembling a steam-powered engine underneath the frame of a horse-drawn landau and a big boiler in the back. 30 kg of coke per hour push the three-ton vehicle at a speed of 8 km/h and the word is that it really proved its worth on the streets of Turin. After its career, the coach was donated to the Politecnico University in Turin, and later the “burdin vehicle”, as it was defined by the transporter, was passed on to the RACI in 1936 to be exhibited in the Museum.
