This is the Ferrari-style wing car: the monocoque is replaced by the famous “dressed” tubular chassis, plus a transverse gearbox and glorious 12-cylinder boxer engine. This is the last model of its kind; in fact, after this, the era of turbo began. The previous year Jody Schekter had won the World Championship, and this vehicle, marked with number 2, was be driven by the immortal Villeneuve. It was donated to the Museum by Ferrari on April 28th 1982, ten days before Zolder’s fatal accident.
