The 12/16 HP went down in history as the first Fiat model with a honeycomb radiator and the first to ever be exported. It also features noteworthy technical peculiarities and a refined phaeton bodywork. The story of the model here on display is particularly interesting: purchased by Ignazio Florio (brother of Vincenzo, founder of the Targa Florio car race), it was given to painter Francesco Paolo Michetti in exchange for a painting. Later on, it had the honor of being driven by King Vittorio Emanuele III to reach the Abruzzo Regional Exhibition of 1905. Michetti’s son Alessandro then donated the car to the Museum in 1937.
