The Fiat 1900 is the typical Italian medium-high level sedan of the 1950s: rounded shapes to meet the needs of the assembly line, majestic look and a vague “American” taste, due to the fashion of the moment more than the taste of the designers. This is even more clear in this Gran Luce model, donated to the Museum by Turin born Dante Bertolani in 1987: two-door bodywork without central pillar, large wrap-around rear window, and – above all – the two-color paintwork are the reflection of an era.
