This is a concept car presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2000. Equipped with a 1.2 Multijet engine and an automated gearbox, it consumes less than three liters of diesel every one hundred kilometers. Its production cost is very contained. Furthermore, this car is characterized by its versatility: easy to use and extremely respectful of the environment. The maximum torque is 16.3 kgm (160 Nm) at 1,800 rpm. Especially at low revolutions, the latter is exploited by the five-gear automated gearbox, which can work in two different ways: standard and economy. If in economy mode, the Ecobasic turns off the engine after 4 seconds of standing still and then turns it back on automatically.
The shape is that of long two-volume vehicle, with a rounded front. Inside, the car is extremely adjustable and the instruments are placed around a central structure.
