History, technique, and style MERCEDES BENZ 540K

A luxury sports car powered by a straight-eight engine supercharged through a positive-displacement blower engaged from the driver’s seat, with all-independent suspensions and very high performance ratings, the 540K was built at the Daimler Benz works in Mannheim in very small numbers and in four version: saloon, torpedo, coupé, cabriolet and roadster, and is an excellent example of pre-war German automotive engineering.
