The Ardea was probably the first small luxury model. Initially presented in 1939, it went into volume production as soon as the war finished in 1945. Four series differing in several details were produced, the last comprising the introduction of a five-speed transmission. A total of 30,000 Ardeas, including a van and a taxi version, were produced between 1939 and 1953.
