The Lancia Flaminia was produced in 1957 as the company’s top-range model. Its design was inspired by a Pininfarina prototype, known as Florida, from which it took many of its lines. Production of the 2.8 Flaminia got under way in 1963 and continued until 1970. This version introduced substantial modifications to the mechanicals and only 599 were produced out of a total of 3944 for the Flaminia saloon as such.
