It is the highest expression of the German granturismo vehicle of the 1930s. Its more than five-liter engine produces 180 HP, an enormity for the time, and its “cousins” are protagonists also in the races. But it is not only the performance – which the more sports-oriented competition, especially Italian, is often able to match and even outdo. What is really astonishing is its awe-inspiring size, the style, and the finishing. It is the last of a noble dynasty: its even more showy heir was overwhelmed by the Second World War when it was still in the cradle.
