Name of two special record vehicles built by journalist and pilot Giovanni Lurani (Cernusco Lombardone 1905-1995). The first, from 1935, created in collaboration with Ulisse Guzzi, son of one of the founders of the motorcycle company; and the second, from 1955, built with Piero Campanella and Angelo Poggio. Lurani was a high-level racing driver and he raced with different car companies, like Salmson, Alfa Romeo, MG, Derby, Maserati, BMW. But probably even more important was his activity as a journalist, writer and editor (he directed Auto Italiana, among the most important Italian magazines of the industry), and his political career within the Fia – Federation Internationale de l’Automobile – the Milan Automobile Club, and the Monza Race Circuit. With his Nibbio cars he obtained many international records.
