The Panamera is a four door coupé capable of top speeds from 259 km/h for the Diesel version to 310 km/h for the Turbo S, launched by Porsche in 2009 and still on sale today. The cabin, with four individual seats, is luxuriously appointed with extreme attention to detail. The exterior style deliberately cites that of the Porsche 911 – especially at the front – making the Panamera immediately recognisable as a thoroughbred Porsche. Measuring 4970 mm in length and just 1420 mm in height, the car has a very generous 445 litre luggage compartment. The car is manufactured at the Lipsia plant, where the Porsche Cayenne is also assembled, and this is reflected in the many elements shared by both models – such as the engines and the all-wheel drive transmission in the 4S and Turbo variants. In addition to Europe and the US, the Panamera is primarily targeted at emerging markets such as Russia, China and the Middle East: and it was no coincidence that it was first presented at the Shanghai motor show.
