NSU Ro80

1970

In 1967 the Ro80 was presented, a truly innovative model that was at the cutting edge of the brand’s production. But the real revolution was in the rotary piston engine, patented by Wankel, which had aroused great interest in the 1960s due to the absence of mechanical parts with reciprocating motion and thus its silent qualities. Many manufacturers experimented with it at the time, but in the end, it was only the old Neckarsulm company that put it into production.
