Fiat’s 1900 model, introduced in 1952 and derived from the 1400, was for some years at the top of Fiat’s range. The later Granluce version had particular traits of elegance and refinement: the body, with only two doors, was distinguished by the shape of the roof with the large wraparound rear window, the absence of a pillar between the side windows, the design of the grille and the two-tone paintwork. Engine power was increased from 70 to 80 HP (top speed increased by 10 km/h) and a so-called booster was added to the braking system, along with the adoption of tubeless tyres.
