Isotta Fraschini 8A

1929

950 units of the 8A model were produced, with a selling price of 140,000 Italian lire for the chassis alone, rising to over 185,000 lire with a ‘landaulet’ body. It was a very luxurious and refined car, destined for the richest and most famous people of the time and loved above all by the international jet-set. The car on display, bodied as a ‘coupé de ville’ by Castagna of Milan, was used in 1950 for the filming of Sunset Boule- vard starring William Holden, Erich von Stroheim and Gloria Swanson as Norma Desmond, whose initials are engraved on the car’s rear doors
