Designed by technician Augusto Monaco together with driver Carlo Felice Trossi, the Monaco Trossi was unveiled in 1935 and tested during practice for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Its innovative features were remarkable: weighing only 710 kg—well below the 750 kg limit set by regulations—it was equipped with a unique front-wheel-drive power unit.
Despite its potential, the car proved too unstable and difficult to control at high speed. It never progressed beyond the testing stage and remained a prototype.
