Fiat 519 S

1923

This torpedo is the ‘daring’ version of the luxury 519 model, with its 6-cylinder in-line engine and overhead valves which was introduced by Fiat in 1922. The sporty version was distinguished from the normal type by its torpedo bodywork with the characteristic German split radiator grille and sloped windscreen, its shorter wheelbase, and its 250 kg lower weight. The engine retained the characteristics of the 519. The superb designer Giulio Cesare Cappa seems to have contributed to its design.
