Cisitalia 202 SMM “Nuvolari”

1947

It was a very original car, with pronounced fins and a very flattened bonnet and bodywork made by Stabilimenti Farina (where Alfredo Vignale, who later founded his company, worked), full wheel fairing and profiling studied at the Wind Tunnel of the Polytechnic Univeristy of Turin. The open version of this model, with an all-aluminium body and much less pronounced fins, was entered in the 1947 Mille Miglia and was driven by Nuvolari, who would go on to write one of the most exciting pages in motor sport.
